The Treehouse School

Welcome

By the end of their time at The Treehouse School children will be happy, confident and able to think for themselves. We will have developed the skills and aptitudes they need to be successful in the world of work, leisure and relationships. With a passion for learning they will be well equipped to embark on the next stage of their education.

Inspiring children to have the desire to learn is essential if they are to achieve future success.

We recognise that children are more engaged with their learning and can concentrate for longer periods of time when something interests them, so we offer a child-centred approach to learning, making purposeful and related links with other subjects. Teachers skilfully build in opportunities to explore areas that the children have shown an interest in, as well as allowing time to follow the school’s planned work. Using this approach, we know that children become more engaged in their learning and so inspired to want to learn and know more. In order to facilitate this, the timetable is flexible acting as a guide only.

"What a wonderful place for children the Treehouse is.  My 3 girls have been here for just 1 year and the change in each of them is amazing, their confidence has soared as has their ability to cope with change.  They are keen to challenge themselves whenever possible and this school gives them the chance to do that with the support they need and in their own unique ways building on their individuality and providing opportunities to learn and grow.  My only disappointment is that there isn't a secondary school run by Lee and Shaz with this ethos of stretching children and giving them, unique opportunities whilst supporting them emotionally, giving them the skills to cope with what life throws at them and teaching them about their environment both the natural one and the community in which they live.  Please donate and help fund raise so that they can build the new school soon and more children can benefit from this head start in life."
