New Style Leg It Challenge!

Time for a new Leg-It challenge – ‘Leg-It-Along-The-Ridgeway’ 2015

walk

Following a route used since prehistoric times by travellers, herdsmen and soldiers the 87 mile long Ridgeway passes through ancient landscapes through downland, secluded valleys and woodland. From Overton Hill to Ivinghoe Beacon, the Ridgeway cuts across the south of England.

Lee and Jane Randle are going to walk the whole length of The Ridgeway over the spring bank holiday long weekend, aiming to cover approximately 15 miles each day, at a brisk pace, returning each night to Cholsey.  Other walkers are welcome to join them for any part, or all of the walk. Jane can be contacted via 07855007612 during the walk for more information.

The Leg-It-Along-The-Ridgeway- Challenge for children and their families will take place on Sunday 31st May, starting at 10.00 am in Sparsholt car park, near Childrey. It will cover a distance of approximately 16 miles, which can be walked, cycled, ridden or a horse…any other ideas?
