It is essential to nurture children’s emotional and physical health as we believe they are vital for a healthy, happy future.
The development of healthy lifestyles is woven into our curriculum and daily routines. A strong emphasis on helping children to believe in themselves and relate to others, alongside regular exercise, is encouraged both during and beyond the school day. To achieve this all children participate in a regular physical activity which ranges from dancing, cycling and walking to outdoor pursuits such as canoeing and climbing. Further examples include the children’s involvement in growing food, cooking and eating together; the creation of a healthy internal environment, with excellent air quality, natural light and steady comfortable temperatures to promote better learning outcomes; fruit and drinking water are available throughout the day.
