Learning & Teaching
When planning the curriculum, children’s development is the key factor in determining what is needed rather than their chronological age. Groupings will be flexible to accommodate the needs of all children.

Through carefully selected contexts for learning the adults stimulate the children’s curiosity which is then harnessed to develop the skills, knowledge and understanding that they need. Within these contexts or units of learning, there will be room for children to follow their own lines of enquiry, thus developing independent thinking. Children thrive when they are given the opportunity to lead and take some responsibility for their own learning. The adult’s job is to facilitate this, providing the support, input and guidance that will enable them to move forward. We believe experiential learning gives the best context in which children can develop essential skills.
